As I recall, Saddam did repeatedly deny having WMD, and the UN inspection process that would have determined the accuracy of these statements was underway, when it was truncated by George Bush&#039;s impatience to use the US&#039;s WMD.  Since then, Bush has misremembered Saddam &quot;not letting the inspectors in&quot; so many times that the journalists seem to think it happened that way.

But it didn&#039;t.</description>
