The BDS movement against Israel may have played some role in Netanyahu's very recent decision for a moratorium on settlement expansion on the West Bank, while simultaneously the larger international BDS movement against Hamas appears to have had some impact on halting rocket attacks from Gaza into southern Israel and a greater emphasis on serious negotiations by Hamas for a prisoner exchange

The question seems to be which BDS movement will have greater depth, endurance and world support over the long run! The BDS movement against Israel could possibly force a return to serious negotiations between Netanyahu and Fatah, but its counterpart against Hamas does not presume to create a new Palestinian unity, or peace between Israel and Gaza! These competing and contradictory movements will likely result in the permanent fracturing of the Palestinian community into two separate and distinct nations!
