But Israelis can no longer bear the current stressful way of life and, unlike the Palestinians, are prone to pack up and abandon the whole enterprise. Netanyahu will thus be forced to choose between a two states solution or an assumption that through self-pity Israel will intimidate the West to maintain the status quo indefinitely. What is not seen is the way many once friendly nations are pushing Israel out of the way in trying to get out of the economic conflagration American bankers created.
