As a combat veteran of Vietnam I applaud these troops twice: Once for risking their necks ‘over there’ and twice for risking their necks here. They speak a truth which, while painful for some to hear, is an everlasting one which springs from a humanity that only war can bring into a human life.

Well, not exactly “no war.” There’s always coerced/bribed/willing coalitions.
