Sam Bacile, the Israeli filmmaker stoking violence in Libya and Egypt, goes into hiding

Sam Bacile, brave enough to incite murder, isn’t brave enough to show his face. Neither he nor the people who funded his movie have the guts to stand up for what they claim to believe in — which makes their “political message” very similar to other acts of anonymous violence.

The Associated Press reports: An Israeli filmmaker based in California went into hiding Tuesday after his movie attacking Islam’s prophet Muhammad sparked angry assaults by ultra-conservative Muslims on U.S. missions in Egypt and Libya, where one American was killed.

Speaking by phone from an undisclosed location, writer and director Sam Bacile remained defiant, saying Islam is a cancer and that the 56-year-old intended his film to be a provocative political statement condemning the religion.

Protesters angered over Bacile’s film opened fire on and burned down the U.S. consulate in the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi, killing an American diplomat on Tuesday. In Egypt, protesters scaled the walls of the U.S. embassy in Cairo and replaced an American flag with an Islamic banner.

“This is a political movie,” said Bacile. “The U.S. lost a lot of money and a lot of people in wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, but we’re fighting with ideas.”

Bacile, a California real estate developer who identifies himself as an Israeli Jew, said he believes the movie will help his native land by exposing Islam’s flaws to the world.

“Islam is a cancer, period,” he said repeatedly, his solemn voice thickly accented.

The two-hour movie, “Innocence of Muslims,” cost $5 million to make and was financed with the help of more than 100 Jewish donors, said Bacile, who wrote and directed it.

how can he confirm that he is israeli?or jewish?
sounds like a provocation. goes into hiding, yeah right!
how about a scheme to draw fire towards all jews and israelis, by creating a f-grade movie
that insults your intelligence, but exacerbates the conflict between arabs/muslims and jews/americans.
Another nice achievment is having jews take the blame for americans blood being spilled.
how about that for a theory?

Are you serious? A guy named Sam…pity it weren’t Israel Menachim…then his initials and surname would have lasting meaning. Are you serious? One hundred Jewish doctors, oy vey!

What calculated malice too. An attitude of mind a Muslim would recognize as ungodly. Strange too, his assertion that Islam is a cancer. Maybe he got that phrase from old Europe — it was applied at one time to his own people.

Brutality and bigotry are great teachers, if you let them. Malice can only come about by forementing resentment…but one hundred Jewish doctors? Are you serious??

What would my Aunt Rose say about all this?

Neat conspiracy theory: a guy makes a crude anti-Islamic movie in order to provoke antisemitism. I guess you’d have to be an Israeli, Dan, to come up with an interpretation like that!

In the end, the entire Middle East would be off our radar if it were not for oil, even Israel. Can’t our technologists liberate us from that damned dinosaur goo?

Fact remains that we are both the donors to the evils of Mideast and its victims. For US/EU all this is payback for our 19th&20th Centuries imperial self-license. As 6% of world’s people using 60% of world’s resources we are bound to suffer from blowback for the past and present. killer careers on US Gov. dole for war-corps abound. The world is our oyster in our search for alQaeda pearls. Our taxes are paying for the daily slaughter of people abroad, with 9/11 still an excuse 11 years later and Obama still signing an “EMERGENCY” finding for what “emergency” his “specialists” invented will be upon us in the next 365 days, tell the world that we still deem Muslims-killing as a blood sport for high-price “contract” agencies…..Is there any wonder that A FEW of our victims deem killing us back an equally “saintly” blood sport?

I vomit when I think how Bush Administration set-up America on 9/11:

yet we don’t look at those killers of Americans through deliberate neglect as we do at Muslim mobs riled up by deliberate insult of Mohammad. That’s why we’re always blins-sided!

If this Sam Bacile is an Israeli Jew, then by all means pack him up and ship him back, without any of his possessions. America doesn’t need that kind of notoriety added to its already piled high plate. Oh, and those 100 donors can go with him as well as his crew.

Sam Basile is neither Israeli or Jewish. This is a good example of anti-Israel and anti-semetic defamation.

Maybe they were dentists rather than doctors. Whoever they were, my Aunt Rose wants to donate her daughter to such a marriage opportunity!
