Can Glenn Back save Israel?

The Jerusalem Post reports:

Conservative pundit Glenn Beck will advise MKs [members of the Knesset] on fighting the delegitimization of Israel abroad during a trip to Israel in July.

Knesset Immigration, Absorption and Diaspora Affairs Committee chair MK Danny Danon (Likud) invited Beck, a Fox News and radio host and an outspoken supporter of Israel, to address the committee on how to recruit friends of Israel in the US to defend Israel’s right to exist.

“When we face an international wave of hatred of Israel and Jews – which is expressed in Facebook pages and films calling for our destruction – it’s good that Israel has talented friends that can contribute to our public-relations efforts,” Danon said.

The Likud MK added that the July 11 committee meeting with Beck will focus on September’s UN General Assembly, where the Palestinian Authority has said it will unilaterally declare statehood.

“September isn’t just a crisis,” Danon explained. “It’s an opportunity to explain to the world that we are not occupying anything.”

The Likud MK Danny Danon seems to live on the moon: How can he explain to the world that we [ Israel] are not occupying anything? How can he explain to the world that Israel is not an apartheid state? How can he explain that the israeli soldiers murder children and women? How can he explain that Israel has not 10.000 political prisoners with the only charge of defending their legal existence in Palestine? How can he explain that critizising the israeli violence in US universities is not “antisemitic” and does not lead to caracter assassination, covert information, intimitation and abusive letters alleging mental wellbeing concern etc… Danny Danon is living on the moon.

MY COMMENT: See the following excerpt from Wikipedia and understand that Israel’s Likud Party and the U.S. Republican Party are inextricably intertwined.

    FROM WIKIPEDIA:

Reality-based community is an informal term in the United States. In the fall of 2004, the phrase “proud member of the reality-based community” was first used to suggest the commentator’s opinions are based more on observation than on faith, assumption, or ideology. The term has been defined as people who “believe that solutions emerge from judicious study of discernible reality.” Some commentators have gone as far as to suggest that there is an overarching conflict in society between the reality-based community and the “faith-based community” as a whole. It can be seen as an example of political framing.
The source of the term is a quotation in an October 17, 2004, The New York Times Magazine article by writer Ron Suskind, quoting an unnamed aide to George W. Bush (later attributed to Karl Rove[1]):

The aide said that guys like me were “in what we call the reality-based community,” which he defined as people who “believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality.” … “That’s not the way the world really works anymore,” he continued. “We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you’re studying that reality—judiciously, as you will—we’ll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors…and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.”[2]

Danon and Beck are truly “birds of a feather”, so it comes as no great surprise that they “flock together”. But Israel should be forewarned that there is no telling what someone like Glenn Beck might do whilst trying to satisfy his messianic complex(es)!
Lots of luck, Israel. With friends like Beck, you’re certainly going to need it.

It’s really looking like the lunatics are in total control of the asylum! The zio-nutters must be getting desperate; maybe they can read the writing on the wall.
