Everybody’s got a different slant on why Bibi is being especially obnoxious, but I think there’s a lot of ego involved here. Papa Benzion is six feet under now, so maybe that has freed Bibi up to take more risk.
In my view, this is all a big diversion from the real problem of the occupation. Behind all this high-decibel noise Palestinians are losing X-number of acres of land per day. Very soon, Israel will no longer be able to challenge the use of the word apartheid as applied to Israel — not that today’s challenge makes any sense to anyone but the Israelis.
