Britain warns Israel: Don’t undermine Iran nuclear deal

Reuters reports: Israel should avoid taking any action that would undermine the interim nuclear agreement reached between Iran and world powers at the weekend, Britain’s Foreign Secretary William Hague said on Monday.

Urging world leaders to give the interim deal a chance, Hague said it was important to try to understand those who opposed the agreement. But he urged Israel and others to confine their criticism to rhetoric.

“We would discourage anybody in the world, including Israel, from taking any steps that would undermine this agreement and we will make that very clear to all concerned,” Hague told parliament.

Wonder why Hague did not also tell parliament that he urged Israel (and all other nations which have built settlements in occupied territories) to remove the settlers and demolish the settlements (as required, in Isrel’s case, by UNSC 465 (1980)).

Guess it slipped his mind. Just as he works to prevent Iran from getting nukes but has no problem about Israel having them. But, of course, there’s a big difference between having nukes already and getting them for the first time. Only the second is destabilizing.

In vaudeville days failed entertainers and pathetic clowns would be given the ‘hook’ as the boos and rotten fruit throwing began. After decades of clown Netanyahu’s dreary act most of the world other than the U.S. has reacted by finally given him the hook. Although more ‘hot air’ (flatulence?) can be expected from him in response.;AIPAC will be seriously engaged in doing its best to undermine…! The White House and the real news pundits need to be decisive in telling them as the UK –“ “We would discourage anybody in the world, including Israel (and AIPAC), from taking any steps that would undermine this agreement and we will make that very clear to them.”

Obama needs to take on the Israel lobby over Iran See today’s pertinent article at The Financial Times web site. AIPAC and US congress will be doing their best to obfuscate.
