“Israel has to take the first step”
A revived road-map? A photo-opportunity? Or a real possibility for peace? “The key is in Israeli hands. Israel is the occupier and Israel has to take the first step”. Gideon Levy, left-wing Israeli journalist of Haaretz, former spokesman for Shimon Peres (1978 -1982), and, according to the French newspaper Le Monde, “a thorn in Israel’s side”, does not beat around the bush when talking about the recent Annapolis peace conference.
